Mandarin Oriental Bangkok best hotel 2013

The Times UK readers have spoken out and named Bangkok’s Mandarin Oriental hotel the “2013 Best Hotel in the World”.

The 137 year old hotel, which has an international reputation for splendid service, style and grace, scored the coveted titles due to its “first class service, elegant suites and sumptuous food”.

“We are delighted to receive this accolade which serves to motivate and encourage our entire team to continue to strive for the service excellence for which we are renowned”, said General Manager Amanda Hyndman.

Built in 1876 and one of nine Mandarin Oriental properties, the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is conveniently located on the Chao Phraya River banks and has been an inspiration to a host of internationally acclaimed writers such as Joseph Conrad and Wilbur Smith.
