Air China will begin operating a non-stop service to Hawaii from mid-January 2014.
Hawaii Tourism Authority and Air China have revealed that the new route will be the first ever direct flight between Beijing and Hawaii and Air China’s sixth destination in North America.
The new three-times-per-week service will commence from 21 January next year, utilising Air China’s A330 widebody aircraft.
China's market demand for travel to Hawaii has been growing rapidly in recent years, with 64 percent more Chinese travellers visiting Hawaii this year, compared to 2012.
The new route aims to bolster the strategic position of Air China’s Beijing hub and global network.
