ANA, Garuda enter codeshare

Garuda & ANA

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Garuda Indonesia have entered into a codeshare partnership on flights between Japan and Indonesia which will enable passengers to collect and use miles on both airlines’ Frequent Flyer Programs, as well as increase their choice and frequency of service.

ANA will launch a new service between Tokyo's Haneda Airport and Jakarta Airport from 30 March 2014, with Garuda opening the same route soon after, increasing the number of flights between the two countries and improving customer service.

”Through this partnership, Garuda Indonesia can expand its services to several cities in Japan and in addition to Tokyo and Osaka, Garuda Indonesia passenger can now do business and holiday trips up to 11 cities in Japan using ANA,” Garuda Indonesia president and chief executive officer Emirsyah Satar said.

The two airlines will also begin discussions regarding a joint mileage program, to be announced in 2014.
