Ajgaonkar brings 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her newest role: Director of Sales & Marketing for both the Lakeside Chalet, Mumbai – Marriott Executive Apartments and the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel.
Before joining the team at these Mumbai service apartments, Ajgaonkar began her career with the Taj Group of Hotels, where she handled a diversified portfolio that included everything from front office to food & beverage to commercial sales. She worked with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Pvt Ltd to open the company's first Four Points by Sheraton in Navi Mumbai, and then moved on to join the Westin Pune Koregaon Park as Director of Sales before being promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing at the same property.
Ajgaonkar brings commitment, focus and strong leadership skills to her new role at these 5-star hotels in Mumbai, India, assets that have been recognized throughout the industry with numerous awards. In 2011 alone, she was named Best Sales Leader and Brand Ambassador Award winner for the Starwood Asia Pacific Region and Sales & Revenue Person of the Year by the Hotelier India Awards.
A graduate of hotel management from the Indian Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad, Ajgaonkar is also trained in classical Karnatak music, enjoys traveling and loves sports including tennis, volleyball and swimming.
