This week, Oman Air has provided a launch date for their highly anticipated new services from Muscat to Manila.
Starting on 2 December, flights from Muscat to Manila will depart twice a week and from two weeks after that date, a third frequency will commence.
Then from 12 December, three flights per week will be offered to travelers from Muscat to Jakarta, with a fourth frequency being operated from 2 January 2015.
Oman Air will be the first carrier to offer non-stop flights between Muscat and Manila, as well as Muscat and Jakarta.
Oman Air’s chief executive officer, Paul Gregorowitsch has said that both the new routes will meet strong demand from air travelers in Oman.
“These exciting cities each offer travellers a fascinating view of their countries’ vibrant cultures and we are very confident that they will prove popular with visitors from Oman and further afield,” Mr Gregorowitsch said.
Flights to both destinations will depart Muscat around midday and arrive at their destinations in the early morning of the following day, offering convenient timing for travel from the respective airports to capital cities.
The airline has already placed the flights on sale and Oman Air Chief operating officer Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy, has said that the flights are very popular.
“Flights to Manila, and Jakarta, are now on sale and are already attracting an excellent response, so we would encourage customers to book early,” Mr Al-Busaidy.
