Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will launch its new “JAL SKY SUITE 787” cabin interior on its Tokyo (Narita) and Frankfurt service.
Due to commence 1 December, the fully-flat seat “JAL SKY SUITE” will be introduced to Business Class, while Premium Economy will be fitted out with “JAL SKY PREMIUM” on the latest Boeing 787-8s.
Meanwhile, Economy Class passengers will be able to enjoy the new “JAL SKY WIDER II” seats in a 2-4-2 configuration, which allows for approximately five centimeters wider for each seat width than the common configuration of Economy Class seat on Boeing 787s.
Well-received highlights of the Boeing 787-8 include larger windows, higher ceilings, better cabin pressure and humidity for a more comfortable in-flight experience.
Following the launch of the Narita – Frankfurt route, “JAL SKY SUITE 787” will commence operations on a Narita – New York route from January 2015, and will be progressively introduced on international medium and long haul routes.
