The Atherton Tablelands is the place for unique B&Bs, farm stays and country-style hotels. A variety of accommodation from camp grounds to cabins and modern homes are plentiful around the shores of Lake Tinaroo.

B&Bs are also a popular choice to the south of Cairns with most of the accommodation found at Mission Beach where there are luxury resorts, friendly backpacker hostels and a selection of camping and caravan grounds.

Even the islands of the Great Barrier Reef offer diversity with National Parks camp grounds, mid-range resorts and opulent private retreats all easily accessed from Cairns.
