Recently, Bangkok Airways and Air Berlin jointly announced the first codeshare agreement between the two airlines which is set to fly passengers nine weekly flights from Germany (Dusseldorf, Berlin-Tegel, Munich) to Bangkok. 

Under this codeshare agreement, Bangkok Airways will connect Air Berlin’s passengers to Thailand’s key tourist destinations namely Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai under the same flight code. The agreement will be effective from 1 November 2009 onwards.

Previously, Bangkok Airways had launched similar codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways and Air France.
