Most people don’t expect to encounter Tiger Sharks or a Giant Stingray in Malaysia’s bustling downtown Kuala Lumpur which is why Aquaria KLCC is such a fantastic surprise.

The state-of-the-art oceanarium is home to over 5,000 different exhibits of marine life and animals from Malaysia and around the world.

And it’s housed in a massive 60,000 square foot space at the Concourse Level of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s city centre.

A 90-metre transparent moving walkway takes you underwater with Sand Tiger Sharks, Giant Stingrays, Marine Turtles, and shoals of other fishes.

If you are feeling really adventurous, you might even consider signing up for one of the Aquarium’s Dive With Sharks or Cage Rage packages that will bring you right up close with some of its more ferocious exhibits.

And if you want to give any younger travelling companions a truly unforgettable experience, book them in for the kids-only Aquaria KLCC’s signature Sleep with Sharks program.

This provides a rare opportunity for children to satisfy their curiosity at the Aquarium when it is closed to the public, including a chance to feed the Malaysian Giant Monsters at the Malaysian Flooded Forrest plus a unique chance to see what sharks really do get up to at night.

Aquaria KLCC is open daily from from 10.30am – 8.00pm including weekends and public holdiays, with the last admission at 7.00pm each day.

Admission tickets are RM64 for adults and RM53 for children aged 2 – 12yo.
