Emirates to launch China’s first A380 service

Emirates said it would start A380 services to Beijing this August, making it the first airline to operate the world’s largest commercial aircraft to the destination.

From 1 August 2010, the carrier will commence Dubai-Beijing-Dubai A380 services daily, enhancing capacity on the existing route.

“Emirates was the first Middle Eastern airline to establish direct air links with mainland China over seven years ago” Emirates President Tim Clark told the Independent.

“This new operation bears testimony of our ongoing commitment to China; offering enhanced capacity to the world’s third-largest economy as it surges ahead with its international trade and development agenda.

Emirates A380 features on board shower spas and flat-bed massage-equipped private suites in the First Class cabin, a new generation of all-aisle flat-bed seats in Business class and a more spacious Economy Class.
