KAYAK launches ‘Activities’ to help users create unique experiences

kayak-logo-1200x630KAYAK.sg has launched ‘Activities’ search on its website, welcoming another addition to its suite of tools to help users better plan and manage their travel.

The Mobile Travel Report recently conducted by KAYAK.sg shows that 40% of surveyed respondents spend more time planning their trips today than they did a decade ago. In line with this trend, KAYAK has introduced ‘Activities’ to help travellers make quicker and better decisions when planning their trips.

As the go-to online travel search engine, KAYAK.sg is integrating results from GetYourGuide and Viator, two leading providers for searching and booking activities around the world. This enables users to seamlessly search for activities before their departure or directly at their destination.

“We aim to make the travel planning process easier. By adding Activities to KAYAK, our users can now plan even more aspects of their trip in one place,” says Debby Soo, KAYAK Vice President, APAC.

“We have great tools to help travellers while preparing their trip, but our Activities search will give them inspiration and the possibility to take their planning that step further.”

Users can go to kayak.sg/activities, choose a destination, and filter and compare tens of thousands of experiences according to their interests; including sports and nightlife activities, adventure and culture tours, or tickets to museums and attractions. Once they have searched for and chosen an activity, they will be taken to a provider’s site where they can complete their booking.

Debby Soo adds: “As well as popular activities, we’re excited to share experiences which are really unique; like swimming with dolphins in Okinawa, exploring the ruins of Bagan in Burma, calligraphy classes or kimono shopping in Tokyo, and trawling the Dong Hua Men Night Market in Beijing. We like to help all travellers plan their own one-of-a-kind trip.”
