Tasa Meng raises US$60,000 for World Vision

Leading travel retailer Tasa Meng, working closely with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Authority, has raised nearly US$60,000 in a major initiative targeted at the World Vision charity.

The airport retailer has taken out advertising space on 250 passenger carts (pictured) to help create awareness for the cause. The campaign began on 1 December and will run to 28 February 2011. Tasa Meng Chairman Miss Nancy Ku donated NT$1,000,000 (US$33,000) to World Vision during a charity dinner event held on 15 December.

Another NT$768,000 (about US$25,000) was raised during a charity auction held on the same evening.
