250-room Hoi An Marriott Resort & Spa scheduled to open in 2015
Marriott International today signed a long-term management agreement with Phat Dat Quang Ngai Hotel & Resort Corp. to operate the 250-room Hoi An Marriott Resort & Spa. The resort, which is scheduled to open in 2015, will be the ninth Marriott International-flagged property and second Marriott-branded resort in Vietnam.
Hoi An is highly regarded by travelers around the world for its charm and history. Its Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features beautiful architecture dating back 200 years. Visitors can experience riverside dining and enjoy a variety of retail offerings of artwork, silk and the town’s famous custom-tailored outfits. Hoi An is also well-known for its quality beaches, diverse water and adventure-based activities, world-class golf courses and proximity to two other UNESCO World Heritage sites—the ancient imperial city of Hue and the ruins of the Champa Empire at My Son.
The Hoi an Marriott Resort & Spa will be located at Cua Dai Beach on the South China Sea, approximately a five-minute drive northeast of Hoi An’s Ancient Town and about a 35-minute drive from Da Nang International Airport.
“We’re delighted by the continued expansion of our hotel portfolio in Vietnam and to participate in the emergence of Vietnam as a world-class travel destination,” said Simon Cooper, Marriott’s president for the Asia-Pacific region. “With its emphasis on contemporary design, technology and attention to guest service, backed by Marriott’s wide-ranging distribution channels, strong sales and marketing systems and brand recognition, we’re confident that the Hoi An Marriott Resort & Spa will very quickly become a favorite choice among MICE and leisure travelers who select Hoi An as their next port of call.”
