In conjunction with International Volunteer Day which is held annually on 5 December, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore hosted a Community Footprints event called “Breakfast On Us” on Monday, 4 December 2017, from 7 am to 10.30am.

Approximately 950 invited corporate guests and partners enjoyed a hearty buffet breakfast in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom in exchange for bringing along a gift for a child in need. All 1,740 gifts collected will be donated to The People’s Association to spread the festive cheer to needy children, aged between one to 12.

This year, the number of suppliers who pledged their participation towards “Breakfast On Us” increased by 80 percent, while the total weight of the donated food items amounted to over 1,200kg. The generous food donations from our suppliers were imperative to the success of the event as the hotel’s culinary team had used them to whip up the special breakfast buffet menu for all invited guests.

“Breakfast On Us” was first held in 2016, where a total of 1,100 needy children received gifts that were donated from the 600 guests who attended the event.
