Tackling climate change is critical to strengthening Queensland’s economic future and protecting our iconic tourism destinations, including the Great Barrier Reef.

QTIC in partnership with Griffith Institute for Tourism and the Department of Environment and Science, would like to invite you to join us for the launch The Building a resilient tourism industry: Queensland tourism climate change response plan on Friday 25 May 2018 from 10.30am – 12.00pm at Mary Cairncross Discovery Centre, 148 Mountain View Road, Maleny. For more information and to register click here.

The plan has been developed over the past six months with input from over 150 industry stakeholders through our “Changing Climate, Changing Business” workshops held in Cairns, Whitsundays and Brisbane. Climate change presents both opportunities and challenges for tourism, and is an economic issue as much as an environmental one. The plan, and this event, is about supporting and driving a successful transition. It’s everyone’s business and it’s time to take action.

The event will offer insight into the development and recommendations of the plan, an engaging panel discussion with key industry leaders and advocates, and the opportunity to network with professionals from across the tourism industry

TIC in partnership with Griffith Institute for Tourism and the Department of Environment and Science, would like to invite you to join us for the launch of the “Building a resilient tourism industry: Queensland tourism climate change response plan”.
