Andre’s Bistro & Bar announces new, yet familiar, additions to its culinary team: Chefs Kevin Lopez and Chris Bulen.

Now running the city’s hottest off-Strip French bistro, Bulen and Lopez are recognizable faces for long-time, loyal guests of Chef and Owner André Rochat. Together, Bulen and Lopez have nearly 20 years of experience working alongside Rochat at his award-winning restaurants: the former Alizé at the Top of the Palms and Andre’s Restaurant & Cigar Lounge.

As chef de cuisine, Lopez brings more than 20 years of experience working in award-winning, Michelin star, 5-star and 5-diamond-rated restaurants. Prior to his new position, Lopez worked under Rochat as a sous chef at Andre’s Restaurant & Cigar Lounge in 2012, where remained until its 2016 closing. Before working for Rochat, Lopez worked his way through the kitchens of the Michelin-star-rated restaurant, Alex, and The Country Club—both at Wynn Las Vegas—as well as Le Cirque at Bellagio.

As Bulen, he brings nearly 15 years of experience working in Rochat’s restaurants, where he fine-tuned the combination of traditional French techniques with contemporary twists. Prior to joining Andre’s Bistro & Bar, Bulen was executive chef at Alizé at the Top of the Palms Casino Resort and Andre’s Restaurant & Cigar Lounge. In that position, he supervised kitchen staff, purchasing, menu development and quality control. One of his most treasured accomplishments was participating in the annual Jean-Louis Palladin dinners, where he collaborated with a constellation of the industry’s most acclaimed chefs to prepare a single, sumptuous meal with proceeds benefiting the James Beard Foundation.
