Tourissmo and Ride & Seek join forces to offer “Plus Tours”

Two of the adventure travel industry’s top bike tour operators, Tourissimo and Ride & Seek, have teamed up to offer a new selection of cycling itineraries called “Plus Tours.” Tourissimo specializes in active travel in Italy, while Ride & Seek offers epic cycling adventures following historic routes in Europe.  Plus Tours combine these niche specialties to offer itineraries that emphasize cycling, history, and culture. Both companies are open and excited to work with travel agents worldwide. For more information, visit

“Beppe Salerno, the Founder of Tourissimo, and I go back 20 years to our days as bike tour guides in Italy,” said Ride & Seek Founder Dylan Reynolds. “Our companies specialize in very different things, with Ride & Seek focusing on culturally-focused multi-week tours and Tourissimo more of a soft adventure specialist so we thought teaming up on a few tours made great sense. It offers our clients something different and the best of both worlds.”

Here are the first Plus Tour offerings:

Puglia and Matera Plus Tour is scheduled for September 14-21, 2018. From the Adriatic Sea to the stones of Matera, guests will enjoy the most beautiful riding destination in Southern Italy. Rolling through this farmland rich in Greek, Norman and Arab influences feels like a mystical odyssey through time. Guests will ride through one of the gems of Puglia: the Valle D’Itria. In Alberobello, they’ll ride by clusters of conical dwellings surrounded by enormous, gnarled olive trees.

Friuli and Slovenia Plus Tour is scheduled for September 22-29, 2018.  Friuli’s wine regions of Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli will be the focus of this ride towards Slovenia, and in Slovenia, guests will pass through the wine areas of Goriska Brda, Kras, and Vipavska Dolina. Guests will witness the peak of the grape harvest and the beginning of the wine-making process. Rolling vineyards, lush, green forests and snow-capped mountains form the backdrop for much of our riding along smooth, uncrowded roads and bike paths.

“For 2019, we are looking at tours that are all-terrain,” said Salerno. “Gravel bikes the hottest trend in the cycling world and we will be unveiling a series of gravel bike tours starting with Southern Tuscany and Sicily.”
