Monday, 9th July 2018 marks a special day for Singapore’s Nam Ho DMC and in a smart partnership with Australia’s, International Travel & Cruise (NHITC) as they welcome their first guests from the Indian subcontinent. This family group comprised of 8 adults and 2 kids, 3 generations of 1 family travelling together. Their itinerary has them visiting the main highlights of Sydney, Gold Coast, Cairns and Melbourne before they head back home. Except for 1 couple, who was here 5 years ago for their honeymoon, it is the first visit for them to Australia.

Nam Ho DMC with their strong B2B base of travel agents in India and International Travel & Cruise has plans to further expand their arrival into Australia as they have already built strong arrival numbers to Singapore and Malaysia over the past 10 years. Nam Ho DMC has already worked with all the top consolidators from India in Singapore and Malaysia. Australia inbound tour operation was a natural expansion as all India tourist transit thru Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. With the ease if the E-Visa, travelling to Australia has become far easier than before. Air connectivity has also vastly improved with low cost carriers from South East Asia going to India and air fares are far more affordable now. Guest arrivals will be predominantly from the leisure market.

The collaboration between these 2 companies has them joining forces with a total of over 50 staff based in India, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. India was Australia’s eight largest inbound market for visitor arrivals, seventh largest market for total visitor spend and third for visitor nights in 2017. It has shown a big increase of 15 percent on the level recorded a year earlier. India tops the list of the fastest growing economies in the world for the coming decade.
