Leading adventure travel company confident about operating its tours in Japan
Gap Adventures, the world’s adventure travel leader, will resume tour operations in Japan beginning July 1, 2011.
“The security and safety of our travellers and staff is our top priority,” says Julie FitzGerald, Gap Adventures’ Asia Destination Manager. “Based on information from our team of experts in the region, we are confident about operating tours in Japan again.
“Tourism is a significant industry for the region, which has the power to stimulate local economies, empower local businesses, and ultimately create a positive impact,” adds FitzGerald. “Many people in Japan rely on tourism for their livelihood.”
From Tokyo’s pulsing nightlife and traditions in Kyoto, to the culinary masterpieces in Osaka and the impressive castle atop Mount Katsuyama, Japan is a captivating country, entrenched in beauty, culture and history.
“We’re excited to continue to step off the tourist track with travellers worldwide who want to experience the real Japan,” says FitzGerald. “Witnessing traditional Geisha life and attending a private party in a former teahouse are examples of the rare, authentic and exclusive experiences we offer."
