Excitement builds with Miss Scuba International
With the departure date fast approaching for this year’s Miss SCUBA International (MSI) 2018, the excitement level has increased exponentially for both the ETB Travel News team and Australia’s representative, Ms Zofia Majka. It’s hard to believe this amazing journey for this Brisbane based beauty started just over a month and a half ago. To say it’s been a whirlwind ride so far would be an understatement!
Miss SCUBA International or MSI pageant began humbly in Kota Kinabalu, capital of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. It was founded and presided by Mr Robert Lo, who is a strong believer in sustainable development within the realms of our marine environment. He hopes that by sharing the beauty and wonders of the underwater world via beauty queens, it will enable more people to understand how fragile our oceans are and how much more we all need to play our individual little roles to make a big difference in protecting it.
MSI‘s goal is simple, to create awareness around the need to keep our oceans clean and healthy and encourage others to explore the world through SCUBA diving.
Their tagline is “Saving Oceans Through Beauty”
With Zofia being selected as Miss Scuba Australia to represent Australia in MSI 2018, we have a unique opportunity to showcase Australia’s keen and passionate love for marine conservation. She would be among over 20 other country’s beauties represented at this year’s event. MSI 2018 will have representatives from United Kingdom, Germany, Kenya, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Nigeria, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia just to name a few countries.
