A toast to Joe DiMaggio at The Lexington Hotel
To pay homage to New York Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio on the 20th anniversary of his passing, The Lexington Hotel, Autograph Collection is serving up “A Toast To Joe” in the lobby of the midtown hotel on March 8th at 5:56 p.m. A nod to Joe DiMaggio’s number 5 and iconic 56 game hit streak, the former residence of the Yankees great continues to keep his memory very much alive and will provide a glass to bubbly for those in the lobby at that time in addition to honoring him on all of the LED display screens throughout the atrium. Special deals on the DiMaggio Breeze cocktail will be available throughout the day at the bar as well.
Formerly known as The Centerfield Suite, the re-imagined Norma Jeane Suite at The Lexington Hotel offers guests the opportunity to stay at the former residence of Joe DiMaggio and his bombshell wife, Marilyn Monroe. The couple eloped on January 14, 1954 and after their honeymoon, set up house at The Lexington.
