Undies dispute sees JetBlue sued

Lady Gaga often thinks them optional attire, but for Malinda Knowles, an assumption by the pilot and crew of a JetBlue flight that she wasn’t wearing underwear saw her removed from her flight, and now she’s suing.

Claiming assault, battery and emotional distress Ms Knowles said on board a JetBlue flight in July last year a male flight attendant approached her and said, “I don’t want to see your panties, but do you have any on?” the New York Post reported.

"It was humiliating, degrading and highly inappropriate," Ms Knowles said.

"I didn’t want to show him my crotch."

Ms Knowles was escorted by police off the plane where it was confirmed that she was wearing shorts before being led back to the flight.

However, she was removed again following dissatisfaction from the pilot.

JetBlue has not commented on the dispute.
