JacTravel, the UK-based tour operator best known for its extensive range of hotels online an inbound travel services will attend ITB Asia, the annually-held three day B2B trade show and convention in Singapore, for the first time this year.
JacTravel has made rapid progress in the Asian market over the past few years and it is investing in growing its team, its customer base and its hotel inventory across the region.
In the past two years, it has grown its Asian inventory to over 350 directly contracted properties in key locations, in addition to working with local wholesalers and OTAs in Korea, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
ITB Asia, now in its fourth year, takes place at the Suntec Singapore Exhibition & Convention Centre on 19-21 October 2011. It is where international exhibitors of all sectors of the travel-value chain, Asia Pacific’s leading travel companies and emerging small and medium-sized enterprises meet with top international buyers from the MICE, Leisure and Corporate Travel markets.
JacTravel’s CEO, Mario Bodini puts JacTravel’s recent success in Asia down to two main factors. First, its rapidly-growing portfolio of over 6,000 directly-contracted hotels, in more than 550 cities worldwide, can be accessed easily by travel trade buyers over the internet. They do so with their own login to JacTravel’s web site (where properties are available on a net-rate basis) or its inventory can be made available by a fast and reliable XML connection.
