Samui Airport welcomes SilkAir’s inaugural flight to Koh Samui

SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, launched its inaugural flight to Koh Samui early this morning.

Mr.Puttipong Prasarttong-osoth, Bangkok Airways’ President was welcoming the flight from Singapore to the island with SilkAir’s traditional water cannon salute. Boarded on the first flight were Mr.Marvin Tan, Chief Executive of SilkAir along with its management, travel agents, Singapore media and a full load of the regular passengers.

Adding to Bangkok Airway’s current daily evening service from Koh Samui to Singapore, SilkAir flies thrice-weekly morning flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with A319 offering both business and economy class.
