Your top stories for 2011 – The Year in Review

As the West continued to struggle against economic downfalls, Asia climbed up the tourism ranks to become one of the most desired travel destinations in 2011.

Over the past 12 months big hotel brands opened new doors across the region with a particular focus in India and China while premium carriers including Singapore Airlines and Qantas announced the development of several new low-cost carriers to target the growing middle class traveller.
