‘2 4 1’ to launch new summer menu @ Roberto’s signature restaurant


To celebrate the summer season, Roberto’s signature restaurant, recent recipient of a ‘tripadvisor® Certificate of Excellence’ for exceptional ratings over the past year, has launched a new ‘2 4 1’ promotion that runs until the end of October as well as a substantial summer menu. Choose any main course and your partner has the same dish absolutely free, excludes shellfish menu items.

Adding to this ‘Future Foodies’ has also launched. Purposely designed for the younger generation of possible future chefs, children under 12 years of age dine absolutely free from the ‘Young Diners’ menu until the end of 2012.

On the new summer menu guests can find starter combination platters, tapas style as well as new vegetarian options. Some of the new dishes include smoked Norwegian salmon salad with goat’s cheese, baby herb salad, cocktail Rosa tomatoes, caper berries and pickled cucumber ribbons, grilled Portuguese sardines (5) served with boiled potatoes, fresh onion rings, roasted peppers, olives and garlic & olive oil dressing.  Other options include Feijoda à Roberto, which is a pork and bean stew made the Portuguese way with pork belly, pork rib, chouriço sausage and beans. Served with white rice and plenty of flavour!

Some new delicious desserts include:  Pasteis de Nata – legendary Portuguese style lemon custard tart recipe from the town of Belém, a dark chocolate tart served with vanilla ice cream and berry compote and leite crème – a Portuguese cousin of the eternally popular French dessert ‘crème brûlée’.
