New Mediterranean cycling cruise aboard Sea Cloud II

Sea Cloud Cruises, together with cycling tour operator terranova, is for the first time offering a cycling cruise on one of its two windjammer yachts – the luxurious Sea Cloud II.

Departing Malta on 28 October 2013 for the Spanish city of Valencia, this nine day cruise will allow guests to discover the Mediterranean’s most beautiful islands by bicycle and sea. Highlights will include Malta’s fortress town of Valletta, the lemon groves and cultural scene of Sicily, Sardinia’s unspoilt landscapes, and picturesque artists’ villages in Mallorca. Fares start from AUD 3,735* per person.  The cycling package is available from AUD$1,228* per person.

Guests will be provided with a top-quality bicycle for the duration of the trip and an accompanying bus will transport bicycles and provide guests with the option of a lift if desired. After relaxing days exploring quiet roads and laneways by bicycle, guests will return to the Sea Cloud II to indulge in the exquisite on-board service.

Fares for Sea Cloud II’s Mediterranean cycling cruise include four guided cycling tours; a highly qualified terranova tour guide; the use of a bicycle for the cruise duration; a support van; airport transfers, and all-round service including drinks and a substantial picnic lunch.

Sea Cloud Cruises has been offering cycling cruises for some years on its river yacht River Cloud II, and in 2013 these voyages will pass through seafaring towns on the Ijsselmeer and along the Danube.  Early bird fares start from AUD 2,278* per person for an 8 day round-trip voyage from Amsterdam departing 13 April 2013, or an 8 day cruise from Passau to Budapest departing 13 July 2013. Bookings must be made before 31 January 2012.  The all-inclusive cycling program is available from AUD $850* per person.
