Revised Immigration Law for Minors Travelling to Mexico

Aeromexico would like to advise passengers travelling to Mexico that there has been a change of Immigration Law in Mexico, regarding air transportation of minors.

Effective immediately, minors aged 17 and under travelling to/from Mexico with any person that is not their father, mother or the person exercising parental authority/guardianship over them, or are unaccompanied, must submit, in addition to their immigration documents, a notarised document authorising the minor to travel without them. The document must be legalised, or bear an apostille, and be translated into Spanish.

Failure to comply with the above may lead to the passenger(s) being denied boarding and/or the issuance of a fine.

Please refer to the Aeromexico website for more information.
