HRG appoint Worldwide Government Services Director

Hogg Robinson Group (HRG), the award-winning international corporate services company, has appointed Lt Cl Mike Holmes (Retd) as Worldwide Government Services Director.  Holmes will take up the new position from 1 January 2013 and will assume responsibility for all global Government business.

David Radcliffe, Chief Executive of HRG comments:  “There are few governments on the global stage today who want anything less than prudent spending of taxpayers’ monies.  It is little wonder then there has been a significant growth in the number of government departments coming out to tender and looking for excellence and savings on corporate travel.  This is a highly specialised area and one in which I am very proud of our worldwide success to date.  So I am naturally delighted that Mike is joining the HRG team in this newly formed role.  He brings many years experience and knowledge with him and I am highly confident that he will not only add to our success but will also become a highly regarded point of contact for our clients within governments around the world.”

Holmes joins HRG following his recent retirement from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in the UK.  His military career spanned 28 years and included service in Bosnia, Middle East, Germany and Canada.

Holmes added:  “I am looking forward to this new and exciting role at HRG.  I have first-hand experience of the business, having been a client for some years at the MoD, and I am also very well aware of the many benefits such excellence, knowledge and expertise can deliver to government business.  I am keen to add to that expertise and to ensure that the government sector continues to grow and be very well served by HRG.”
