A regional win at last year’s awards just wasn’t enough for this ski side hotel, located in the heart of Hirafu Village in world-famous Niseko, and developers Niseko Alpine Accommodation (NISADE) now have a loftier goal in mind. Nominees in each regional category are eligible for the World’s Best title if they receive the most votes for their accommodation category, and The Vale is going for gold.
This year NISADE is determined to show the world that this beautiful building, and indeed Niseko itself, is number one in the world when it comes to luxury ski accommodation.
‘It’s not just about The Vale, although we do believe the quality and service guarantees us a spot amongst the best in the world,’ comments Chairman Jonathan Martin, ‘It’s about Niseko. It’s time that the world recognised that not only can we compete with the established ski resorts in Europe and North America, but that we can best them.’
It seems that the world is coming around to this point of view. Last year The Vale Niseko also enjoyed a win at the prestigious Asia Pacific Property Awards, and while occupancy was at an all-time high last winter, the positive reviews were overwhelming.
With lavish apartments fitted with the ultimate in designer influence and modern technology, The Vale Niseko is a strong contender in the competition known as the ‘Oscars’ of the ski industry. Niseko was well represented at last year’s event, with a triple crown awarded for Japan’s Best Ski Resort, Japan’s Best Ski Chalet, and Japan’s Best Ski Hotel.
Featuring big-name sponsors such as Audi and Swarovski, the World Ski Awards is quickly becoming synonymous with quality and excellence within the international travel domain.
