Visitors to the JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh have come to appreciate its luxe features and convenient location. But the amenities make up only part of the equation. Just as important as thread count and spa treatments is the leadership. And thanks to the arrival of Mr. Rubal Chaudhry, that’s an arena in which this luxury hotel shines brighter than any other in Chandigarh. With more than 17 years of experience and a track record for excellence, Mr. Chaudhry is poised to make the guest experience truly unforgettable in the city’s best hotel.
Having joined the JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh in November 2014, Mr. Chaudhry now oversees all hotel operations at this 164-room property. This includes guest and associate satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation, overall performance and the hotel’s strategy execution.
So many responsibilities at one of the most renowned hotels in Chandigarh require Mr. Chaudhry’s unique skill set. Not only has Mr. Chaudhry worked with diverse brands within the hospitality industry, but he has demonstrated a knack for success. His last position with the Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri saw him position the hotel as a leading property in West Delhi. Such an achievement echoes the potential of this property, where well-appointed guest rooms, discerning epicurean adventures and exquisite luxuries like a rooftop pool and an acclaimed spa indulge visitors at every turn.
Mr. Chaudhry’s hard-won professional experience began at DAV College Punjab University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics. He went on to complete post-graduate work at the International Management Institute in Switzerland before completing his MBA in hospitality administration at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, U.S.A.
Mr. Chaudhry’s extensive and geographically diverse education stands to benefit him directly in his new position at this Chandigarh business hotel. His familiarity with both Indian and American market dynamics makes him uniquely qualified to position the hotel for growth in the corporate and leisure markets. The hotel, after all, is located near the Business District as well as local attractions like Sukhna Lake Chandigarh. And his reputation for mentoring promises great things for both staff and guests alike. Under his guidance and initiatives, for example, managers have repeatedly demonstrated quantifiable performance improvement.
“It is a tremendous honor and opportunity to join the JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh,” said Mr. Chaudhry. “And I look forward to preserving its illustrious reputation even as my team and I pursue its potential for further success.”
