Centara Hotels & Resorts has signed a management contract for their newest Vietnamese property, Centara Beach Resort & Spa Phu Quoc, with Binh Le Xuan Limited Companies and Commercial Services.
The four star resort is the company’s third property and second on Phu Quoc Island.
Centara Hotels & Resorts vice president of sales and marketing Chris Bailey said the new resort holds a different focus than other resorts in the area.
“The new resort is a highly desirable acquisition for us, as it has a different style and product focus than our other properties in the region, and so we can expand our appeal to a wider cross-section of the market,” Mr Bailey said.
The new resort will feature 143 rooms and offer guests a wide range of facilities including meeting facilities, an all-day restaurant, swimming pool with a pool bar, a fitness centre and full wireless connectivity across the resort.
The resort, located on Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam’s Kien Giang Province, is a ten-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport and less than a one-hour flight from Ho Chi Minh City.
The island itself is mostly home to a National Park and is well known for its clear waters and white sand beaches, perfect for scuba diving and snorkelling activities.
The new Centara Beach Resort & Spa Phu Quoc is on schedule to be unveiled during the third quarter of this year and is expected to become a popular addition to the island’s growing tourist scene.
