The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., has announced the opening of The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel, marking Starwood’s first-ever luxury hotel in Japan’s capital city.
Managed by Prince Hotels, Inc., the distinguished property is situated in the prestigious Kioicho neighborhood, part of Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, a mixed-use development comprised of commercial, residential, retail and entertainment spaces.
With interiors by Rockwell Group Europe, the hotel is the second property part of The Luxury Collection brand to open in Japan, following the debut of Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Kyoto, last year.
“With more than 100 hotels in more than 30 countries, the growth of The Luxury Collection reflects the heightened demand for experiential luxury travel,” said Meredith Dichter, Global Brand Director, The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts. “The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho allows global explorers a unique way to discover this ever-dynamic capital city.”
Part of the central Chiyoda municipality, the hotel occupies the geographic center of Tokyo, seamlessly aligning with the city’s historic marvels and ultra-modern infrastructure. The location affords convenient access to diverse attractions, including Shimizudani Park and Benkei Canal.
Nearby, Akasaka Mitsuke metro station connects to the popular districts of Ginza, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Shibuya. Tokyo International (Haneda) Airport (HND) and Narita International Airport (NRT) are 45 and 90 minutes away by road, respectively.
“We are thrilled to open our first luxury hotel in Tokyo with the debut of The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a market that attracts both business and leisure travelers from across the globe,” said Lothar Pehl, Senior Vice President, Operations and Global Initiatives, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific.
“The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho presents indigenous flavors and colorful character within a rich cultural context, further elevating the luxury offerings in Japan’s capital city.”
Designed by Rockwell Group Europe, The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho features a striking contemporary aesthetic inspired by the sprawling sky and kaleidoscopic colors of the surrounding city. Located on the 30th to 36th floors of Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, the hotel features 250 guestrooms, including 11 opulent suites that fuse traditional touches with modern amenities.
